The STIHL HTA 160 cordless pole pruner efficiently supports professionals in tree care, local authorities and agriculture and forestry when pruning trees, removing dead wood and breakage caused by storms.

The powerful EC motor of the STIHL HTA 160 is powered by lithium-ion batteries from the STIHL AP System. The lightweight, robust magnesium transmission supports easy manoeuvring. You can use the pole pruner to cut branches and trees up to 20 cm in diameter. Thanks to the professional telescopic shaft with a particularly rigid square profile, the desired overall length of the HTA 160 can be easily adjusted up to 405 cm with quick adjustment. This enables exact positioning and precise cutting even in higher areas of trees. You can even work up to a height of around 5 m for thinning out treetops. The HTA 160 can be used with STIHL 3/8" P saw chains, such as the STIHL 3/8" P Picco Micro 3 (PM3) chain or with 1/4" P-STIHL saw chains, such as the 1/4" P Picco Micro 3 (PM3). No ear protection is required with 1/4" STIHL saw chains, so you can also work in noise-sensitive areas.

A robust branch hook cast onto the compact cutting head makes it easier to grasp and remove loose cuttings. The sprocket cover is equipped with a direction guide for precise positioning and lateral chip ejection. Thanks to the ergonomically optimised control handle with LED display, you have all the controls of the STIHL HTA 160 conveniently at hand. The standard STIHL protective foot protects the motor housing of the pole pruner from contact with the ground. The easy-to-clean air filter with metal mesh supports optimal motor cooling and as such a long service life for your STIHL HTA 160. The optionally available STIHL RTS harness allows you to take the strain off your back while maintaining a high level of freedom of movement for longer periods of work.

The STIHL HTA 160 has a total length of 285 cm to 405 cm.

All cordless power tools within the STIHL AP system have been designed for professional users and daily work, even in adverse weather conditions. With that in mind they are certified as splashproof. The effectiveness of this is also verified through demanding internal tests. The splashwater test is aligned with the IPX4 standard, among others.
